me and my boyfriend are both clean no STD's and my boyfriend has a very strange rash or little tiny red bumps..my question is can we being both CLEAN, get herpes or any std without one of us having it first???????.....

yes, It happens all the time. Either one of you can get Herpes before and not show signs until years later. Herpes has a mind of it's own

NO. If neither of you have it, you can't infect each other. The problem is knowing whether you have it or not. Herpes is not part of a standard STD panel. You must both request the test for herpes via a 'type specific IgG blood test'. Then you will know if one of you have it. The 'but wait' part here is that if either of you have had outside partners within the last 3-4 months, then the blood test could show negative but the possibility of herpes could still be lurking. It takes 3-4 months for antibodies to show up in your blood. Since your boyfriend is showing something going on, he/you should be tested. Then you will both know your status.
Same with other stds. If you start off from the get go with no stds and ONLY have sex with each other then you should remain STD free.
