Can you tell I'm in another "rest" month? lol. I've diverted all my enegies from ttc to other things. The three biggest receipeints of my energies are a new exercise program, fighting the insurance company, and planning my baby sister's baby shower. I'm expecting a newphew in May. :-)
However, this note is supposed to by about dr. bills. My insurance company might have finally helped me out (just a tiny bit :bang) Even though I'm now resigned to pay for everything, I still have them submit it all to insurance. During my first IUI in January, I payed the doctor $307 for the IUI. The bill was broke into a charge of $102 for a "moderate" office vistit and $205 for an "IUI surgical prodedure". The insurance company rejected the "IUI surgical procedure" of course. But, then they said that I wasn't responsible for paying the $102 moderate office visit as that wasn't part of the plan agreement.
I'm usually so grateful that the doctor is helping me out, I never question any charges. However, the insurance company made me think that the doctor double changed me. Did I pay for his service twice in the form of an office visit and surgical procedure which all happened at one time?
I would appreciate your thoughts.
Mindy
