Among other areas, I have had severe tension and trigger points in my entire neck/head area. I've been treating them over the past few months, with slow but sure progress. I've been having a great deal of trouble with the clavicular branch of my SCM. Let me note that this has been as severe of muscle tension and related trigger points as you'll find. In my right C-Branch, starting at the top of the head, I certain fiber begins to thicken and increase in tenderness (and accentuated symptoms, used to be much much more painful before a great deal of attention), what's odd is that it stays at about the thickness of a bic pen ink container for an unusual three or four inches. Towards the bottom of it, there are a bunch of little sacs attaching to it along it at different locations of varying sizes, the biggest the size of a large marble, smallest the size of a pea.
Below this area then is bunched muscle fiber that snakes around at the bottom of the clavicular branch as if being kept from it's normal extension.
I've been rubbing at this trigger point for an awful long time with unsatisfactory progress, albeit some.
Anyone have ANY insights on this at all?
