Six months ago I quit drinking. My Ast was slightly above the normal range. All else was normal. My doctor also said my liver was enlarged and may have ALD, but CT scan last year was normal. 3 months after no drinking my LFT's were all normal. Did another ultrasound and my doctor is still saying my liver is enlarged. During the ultrasound I asked the person performing it and they said the size seemed normal for my size (6'4" w/18cm liver). Also, I'm very large framed but naturally thin and light for my height. Is the size of your liver determined by height or weight for what would be normal? I've been told my lungs and stomach (on other tests) were very large.

So my question, is it likely or even possible to still have an enlarged (possibly inflamed) liver with completely normal LFT's?
