Tests will determine who has Herpes and who doesn't. Many people live normal lives with Herpes. They go through outbreaks and wait until it clears. You can pass this through oral sex too, so you have to be careful and use good hygiene. If you really love each other then you can make it work out. You can have a baby. You just have to have a c section if you have an outbreak at delivery time. Alot of people use condoms anyway just to help. You are taking a chance with oral sex because you can get type 1 or 2 on the face or cheek or lip area. Type 2 in the genital area can move around to the back, butt, thigh and anal area. It is a virus with a mind of it's own. No amount of worry will make any difference.

It is just a virus, and one that other than some discomfort and social stigma, really isn't that bad. A cold is a virus that you can catch from someone, for example, so would you avoid someone who caught colds out of fear you might catch it? Look at if from this perspective.
