View Full Version : Aches, intermittent pain, possibly a new dent in skull

I just noticed an ache in the upper top half of the back of my head. It hasn't been persisting for long, it doesn't hurt all that much (in fact, it's not too difficult to ignore, although it did hurt enough for me to look around the house for some Advil, Tylenol, etc.) and the pain seems to be intermittent, but I figured it was worth mentioning because I felt a pain of a similar type not too long ago (although in a different spot), and this was on more than one occasion (possibly in different spots each time, if I recall correctly).

Another reason this has me worried (and I may just be being paranoid) is that I thought I noticed a dent in my head that wasn't there previously. It's possibly I didn't notice it before, but I do think it's worth mentioning that I have felt around my head for dents on several occasions, as I've noticed several when I was young and since I'll sometimes have the habit of feeling around. Now, from what I understand, these are fairly normal, and they develop at an early age when the skull is rather soft. Again, I may just be paranoid, but I don't remember noticing the dent before, and the pain I mentioned is coming from one of the dents (although this could very well be a coincidence). I've also felt like my head feels slightly more soft that usual.

Am I just insane or this there legitimately something wrong here? I'll admit, I'm easily worried, so I wouldn't doubt the former, but I'd still like to make sure.
