does anyone know what Causes a high liver ast test?
mine Was 38 u/l - 10-30 u/l range
i dont use illegal Drugs, drink heavy amounts of alcohol or use tylenol
im pretty scared
does Anyone know what This could be

Hi there,
An AST of 38 is not high. It is SLIGHTLY out of the normal range, but I'll bet you if you repeated it 6 months from now it would be normal. If your AST was in the 50s, that's different. Additionally keep in mind there are certain people who are sick and have their AST score in the 100s and sometimes even 1000s!! So considering yours is only 8 points above the max range is not really significant.

thanks, i def feel better if what ur saying is true
my doc just repeated my test b/c i might need to go on lamasil for a nail fungul Infection.
however, i also take creatine on a daily basis, fish oil, this herbal supplement for my thyroid. i was also taking 2 ibprophens daily for about a week before that.
