My asthma seems to flare up the week I have my period. Does anyone else find this to be true?

Yes definitely! I thought i was the only one and meant to mention this to my doctor but always forget. I would say a few days before my period my symptoms are 100% worse and wondered if there was any connection. Also I get worse inflammation in my joints during this time also.

Thanks! Now I can feel better that I'm not imagining it! I'll ask my doc at my next checkup if I remember.

Definatly! My asthma is in major flare up right now and I just started my period today and my peak flow #'s are down big time now..........like we don't have enough other reasons to hate having our period :P

Now that I think of it, you're totally right.
My asthma's feeling really good right now, although I haven't been tested yet I'm on salbutamol [no controller meds yet], and the last time I got my period my lungs were feeling pretty bad [Like, reliever 2-3 times a day]

Thanks for bringing this up
