Hi everyone
Has anyone used the Mirena IUD to reduce heavy periods during perimenopause and are there any bad side effects??????
I would really appreciate any advice etc.

Hi,

I have a friend who uses the Mirena as part of continuous combined hormone therapy. She is post menopause and uses the Vivelle Dot for her estrogen.

Mirena is not recommended by the FDA for this purpose but for her it is working out very well.
