So I'm back in the game. Some of you maaay remember me...maybe not. I was on this forum in May and June. I was able to get preg. very fast, but unfortunately I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks (baby passed at 8.5 weeks, heard heartbeat at 8 weeks...very sad..). I am convinced that it was because I had only been off of the pill for one month before getting pregnant. I think my eggs and hormones werent ready...but I hope they are now! (by the way, my doctors dont believe the BC pill theory...). Also I had no morning sickness while preg., only really sore boobs...I think my hormone levels werent high enough, but the Japanese doctors didnt test for that...ugh!
So it has been five weeks since the miscarriage and my period started today (yah!) I think that I am ready to start trying again. I have read that you wont get preg. if your body isnt ready so, I am hoping that I wont get preg. if my body isnt ready. I dont want another miscarriage....and my goal is to be preg. by December...but we will see how that goes.
So, glad to be back! (well kind of..hehe)
CD 1 for me!
;)

Thanks!
Ugh, I hate periods! At first I was like "yah! period!", now Im like "ugh..period". Hopefully not many more though...my husband and I are planning our 10 BDs in a row starting next week (same as last time)....hehe.
Elaine, how was your first period? Did everything go completely back to normal after your miscarriage?

Hey Quibby,

My period has been heavier and a bit more painful than before, but my cycle is back to normal 28 days. Also another change is getting I'm getting spots around O time which I didn't really before. So all in all, I'd say I'm settled back down.

What's yours like?

Well since I have only had one normal non BC period in two and a half years...I cant tell for sure if its normal. I think that it may be a tad heavier (but I dont really know) than normal. But cramping is the same, and maybe even not as bad. Oh, I am MUCH grouchier this time. I actually think that this period is more normal than the one I had before conceiving in June (first period after quitting BC pills). I just feel more normal than before..I dont know...its weird. Maybe its all in my mind, but I feel more at ease this time than I did last time. I feel like my body really is back to normal this time..but that could all be in my mind to.
So I just checked my calendar, we BDd 9 times after period was finished till ovulation...it wasnt to bad. Especially since my drive was back and we didnt need lub after quitting BC pills, it wasnt bad at all. It was worth it! And it makes you have to find ways to spice up your love life, which in turn gives you more respect and love for your husband...it was great! We are looking forward to it again...hehe.

It is weird...but I am more into this next preg...I dont know why.
As for ideas to spice up love life..well, just take control, for some reason men love that...weird I know..lol. But it doesnt take us to long..so thats why it isnt so bad...sorry, to much information..lol.
9 days is a stitch in time compared to months of never having to try again...lol. I have heard of some couples that do it twice a day, and it works..lol...I am not that strong...lol.
Good luck!

Wow, twice a day has worked! The couple must have been very fertile. My Dr said you should do it every other day to give the sperm enough time to mature. So now we're stiking to every other day.

If every day worked for you last time, hopefully it will work now. :)

So sorry for your loss. From what I recently read about miscarrages, mostly there's nothing you can do and it's very common for all women no mater your fertillity. A lot of it is chromasomal. The main thing is to have a healthy diet and not be too obese. If you have diabetes or a thyroid problem that can be serious and should be controlled before ttc.

I think that how often you do it depends on sperm count, and sometimes age...but every day worked for us...so thats what we will do again...hehe.
What did you do the month you got preg?

Emm, taking control...interesting. We won't be trying for another two weeks, so I must work on my inventive controlling ways in the meantime!! LOL Thanks for the tip! Doesn't take us too long either Thank God. LOL

I'm a every second night as well gal. The month I got pregnant we did it CD11 and CD13 with a positive OPK on that night. This time I think I'll continue on with CD15 and hopefully that will do the trick! xx

With my DD we did it on CD13 and CD15 and it was just the second try! We're trying for #2 now and are on month 5 and have tried a few different timings.
