My son, age 16, was sick last week with headache, body aches, stomach cramps and fever. He is very active, healthy, and 16 boys from his football team were out with flu symptoms. He still has stomach cramps, headache and the skin on his chest is extremely sensitive to the touch, his t shirt hurts to rub against his skin. I was thinking maybe shingles. My husband has had them, my sister, my father so I am slightly familiar with the symptoms although everyone tells me he is too young. I am taking him to the Dr. later today but in our small town, it is usually good to go in with a suspicion since the Doctors (they are very young PA's at my clinic) don't always know the answer.... This happened once when I brought my little one in, thought he has scabies so the doctor (Doogie Howser type!) had a starting point to research his condition and I was correct.
