Hi~

I am 36 years old and up until now my periods have been normal. I started my period the beginning of this month and after a few days I finished and thought I was done. Then a couple of days later I started again and have been bleeding for the better part of three weeks now. The flow hasn't let up and tends to get heavier with clotting. I am starting to get worried and was wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this. Could this be the start of menopause?

Thnx in advance,

Missy

Hi Missy,

Your situation doesn't sound right.

You are 36 and yes, you could be starting perimenopause, you should not be having such heavy bleeding and clotting.

Call your Dr for an appointment.

Could be lots of different things and best to get your doc's opinion. Fibroids can cause this, among other things. I am 52, quite a bit older than you and my periods have been like that and all over the place. Its just depressing, I know.
