I am a little confused about cycle days. I am starting IVF and am currently on Lupron. I know that this med is supposed to supress your ovaries. I started AF this past Fri. I am starting follistim this Fri. which is supposed to stimulate follicle growth. Do I count my AF as cycle day 1 or the day I start follistim? All this medical crap, measuring meds and counting days is so tiresome! Just hoping the outcome is worth it. Off to work now before the snow hits...6-8"!

Day one is your first day of actual flow (at least that is what my RE says and mostly what I read). If you spot, then the next day should be day one

Cycle day one is the 1st day of Full flow. My RE says that if the full flows come in after 8:00 p.m. then consider the following day CD1!

Good luck on your IVF, TMER! It is a pain keeping up with cycle days huh? But the outcome will be worth it! Mare! WOW - I cannot believe how long you've been trying. Kudos to you for still hangin in there.

Hey Mare,

This weather is so depressing! I only work 2-3 days a month and don't you know it I had to work yesterday. I left early and gave you a wave as I came over the driscoll bridge. You said that you used to go to my RE (East Coast). I was wondering what your thoughts were on them- good and bad. I picked them because they are supposed to be the best and my biological clock is ticking REALLY LOUD so I have to move fast. Their success rates are good but am not so sure about their bedside manner. Wondering what your thoughts are.

Mare and Lisa- thanks for the good wishes. I want you to know that I pray every Sunday in Church for a child and I tell God that if he is sending me twins, I just want one and to send the other baby to someone who wants to love a baby! I hope he hears me!!!!
