Hi,

I am still looking for some women on this board with high FSH level. I am wondering what kind of treatment is available out there, any success stories, etc?

Hi Ivona,

I responded before about my FSH level. I am currently in the process of doing IVF. I think along with other problems including male factor my RE advised this was the best way to go. I am pretty sure that he did the clomid challenge test to see how I responded and I did not respond well. My FSH and TSH levels were still high. I believe that my age (39) has alot to do with it. I went to the library and read every book I could about infertility and it is overwhelming all the things that contribute to infertility. Your RE should take all things into consideration and then map out a plan for you as every person is different. Not sure if this helps. I will tell you that my RE did not think I could get preg. any other way and took the very aggresive route. Good luck.

Thanks tmerone.
i think you are right - and that's probably what is happening now - they are gathering all my tests and then will probably advise me how to proceed. They also asked that my husband sperm be analyzed. So we'll see.
Thanks again and keep me posted how your IVF is going.
Good luck to you!

Hi Ivona,

Here is another thought. I am on one 81 mg. baby aspirin a day. I think it has something to do with my TSH level. I have so much info. running around in my head that I can't keep it straight. It could be because of my FSH level also. I also wanted to mention that I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism back in Aug. when I first went to my RE. Apparently that can cause infertility and also affect your bloodwork. You might want to check with your RE if he did a thyroid test on you. Take care and have a good day.

tmerone,

Thyroid was checked and came back ok. I have to ask about baby aspirin - heard that from so many women AND they did get pregnant.
Thanks so much.
