use of ear plugs seems to cause my ears to hurt. they return to normal in one or two days when I stop wearing them. I sweat quite quite a bit and ear problem seems to be worse in the summer. Am I the only one out there that has this problem ? I think that the plugs are trapping moisture inside my ears. Ear muffs just make me sweat even more. what can I do ? I have tried several brands and types offered by my employer who demands I wear them or else. there seems to be no info about ear plugs being harmful. Everyone is just interested in trying to sell them.

thanks jrm

Might be a bit extreme, but you might try getting some molded specifically for you. I recently started becoming sensitive to all sound and ear plugs have been awful. They just are uncomfortable and tend to add the pressue im feeling. I do however, wear earmuffs pretty much 24/7. They dont cause moisture nearly as much as the plugs. You might just keep looking at ear muffs.
