Hi to all!
I'm usually over on the Pregnancy Board, TTC Buddies thread, but often come here to visit and read all your inspiring posts.
I'm 38 and have been diagnosed with Unexplained Infertility. DH is 37. We've had all the pertinent bloodtests and a SA too. I've also had an HSG and an Endometrial Biopsy. Everything seems to be "normal".
It's so incredibly frustrating to be told there's no real reason not to conceive! At the moment I've had to hold off on TTC for 3 months due to the Rubella vaccination, which has been a real pain, as you can imagine!
In May we'll be giving it another shot. Doc says she'll put me on Clomid, although I do ovulate on my own. I have no children and neither does DH, so we're in a bit of a hurry to get pg! We've been married for 2 1/2 years, the exact time we've been TTC.
I do try to keep a positive attitude and am a believer in making things happen. I know I'll never give up! We are already on a list for IUI /IVF, as the National Health here is paying for everything, but the down side is the long waiting lists.
I so admire all of you who are having long and sometimes painful treatments. I really feel for you ladies! We are so lucky to have these boards where we can get information, laughs, vent or whatever.
Does anyone else have a similar situation to mine? http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

Since last 4yrs i have consulted many obgyn to know my problem. Before that i had very regular periods but since last 4yrs i started skipping 2-3times a year. The docs did various blood test, lap etc and came back with the answer...."everything is fine and within normal range".It was so frustrating not to know my problem and not getting pregnant even after trying for 2yrs.Last month i consulted an RE and after a trans-vaginal u/s he confirmed i had mild pcos.Though all my blood test, lap reports came back normal but i believed that there is definately something wrong with my body as i was not getting pregnant. So after 4 yrs i came to know my problem.
It is really very frustrating not to know your problem .Pl. don't give up hope. Wish u all the best.............

Nela,
I'm 36 but I have PCOS - not unexplained infertility. In Feb, I asked my doc what affect my age had on my ability to conceive, and he replied "36-38 is a great age to have a baby". He sort of evaded the question, but never-the-less, I liked the answer.
I've also been on a three month break. One month due to a bad virus, and two months to cysts in first left and then the right ovary. Hopefully, I'll be able to start meds again by the end of next week and and IUI near end of April. January would be a great month to have a baby! lol Maybe I'm just prejudiced because I was born in January.
Good Luck and Baby dust to you.

Nela!
I am 38 yrs. old also!My dh is 34. Same thing..Unexplained infertility. My dh has normal/low sperm ct. but theyre saying its getting a little better. I too have gone thru endo biopsy..hsg....bloodwork..all of it comes back normal....Been on clomid 2 times even though I ovulate normally.. I told the girls I nest when I was on clomid...cause I could barely walk..from ovulating!!!I have normal periods..Never had any probs.. Now this Fri. I go infor a laparoscopy/hysteroscopy to make sure I have no endometriosis..fibroids..etc....One more thing to go through.. It is quite hard to think why am I not getting pregnant?? It doesnt make any sense.. So I am in the same boat as you Nela..!
I am doing injectibles /and IUI in may. (gonal-f). So well see. Hopefully it will work!!!! Keep me posted!!! Hopefully we can all get prego together one month!!! and well be one happy bunch!!! take care! Baby dust to you Nela.!! ANne

Thanks for all the responses! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif
r_bis...it's incredible that they took 4 years to find out the problem! It just goes to show that your gut instinct worked. What are you doing now? Are you on meds or anything? Sending you tons of babydust! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/t_up.gif
L8again..hi! We meet again, but on a different board http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif
Mindoo...I also like your doc's reply! So you're also on a 3 month break...isn't it frustrating? Hopefully the IUI is going to work and you'll be preg by the beginning of summer. I also like the idea of having a baby in winter, that way you don't have the heat to deal with too. Plus you get to spend the winter all covered up with big coats and clothes that hide everything! Although I often think that if I ever do get PG, I'll be too proud to hide it! LOL. Thanks for the babydust, sending some right back to you!******
ams...we seem to be on a similar schedule! I agree, it doesn't make any sense not to be PG. I have even thought I would prefer to have something wrong just so they could fix it! I know I should be grateful to have good health, but it's very frustrating. I will be crossing fingers for you in May. Hopefully that's going to be a great month for both of us! Baby dust to you too, and I'll definitely be in touch!
BTW, if any of you want to visit us over on the TTC Buddies thread on the Pregnancy board, we'd be delighted!

Nela...Yes after 4years i came to know my problem and i am truly thankful to the wonderful girls in this board who suggested me to consult a RE when i posted my message on this board for the very first time.I listened to them and now i feel that i had taken a wise decision because my RE was able to diagnose it.
I am just on clomid and trying naturally.I easily ovulate with 50mg clomid but this time my RE put me on 100mg to produce more eggs. This sat. i will go for an u/s to check my follies. Pretty excited but little nervous too.
