I just called my RE to confirm that the DH and I are going to do Injectibles/IUI this month as soon as AF comes, Should be around the 18th. The Nurse called in my perscription. Bravelle 30 vials, Wow!! $1470.00 can you believe the cost of these drugs? At least my RE is giving me a little help on the IUI, $650.00 for 3 RE visits, 4 u/s's, and IUI. My insurance won't cover any of the cost for IUI or Drugs. But I don't care because a baby will be worth it. I am supposed to call the day AF starts. Then I have to be there before 10am on day three for u/s & b/w. She said my first injection would be that day. Has anyone else used Bravelle?

Good luck to you.
I think its a crime that these drugs cost so much and most insurance does not cover them .
mine does not . We are spending our life saving on this and it will be worth it.
Lots of luck

Hi Kelly! Good luck to you! It is a shame that insurance companys won't pay for squat usually - but they will pay for crap that I won't even list here! YAY! Never heard of that drug but it must be pretty darn good http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif if it is that much!!

LOTS OF LUCK AND BABY DANCES!

Old Flo and Mommawannabe, thanks for your replies. This site has been very helpful to me and I appreciate all the ladies.

I have a book, Resolving Infertility, that I have been reading and it gives a lot of info on the drugs and Bravelle is basically the same as Follistim and Gonal-F except that Gonal-F and Follistim is made synthetically and Bravelle and Metrodin is made from the purified urine of postmenopausal women. I am getting very anxious about the injections I wish that AF would hurry and get here. I can't believe that I am saying that! I am usually saying please stay away and now here I am saying hurry up.

Anyway thanks for listening.
Baby Dust to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
