For my 1st IVF, I am having the extra eggs frozen (if I have xtra). My question is- If IVF does not work the first time how much less do you think it is for the second round? I know I will still have to buy the meds and go in for the daily u/s, blood, etc. I would think it would be a little bit cheaper since they don't have to sedate me and do an egg retrieval and freeze. I am being optimistic that I will get preg. the first time around but I want to know what my options are if it doesn't happen. Also, If you don't get preg. the first time do you have to take a break before starting the cycle again? Thanks!

I was just fixing to post and ask if anyone is going to or has frozen the embryos before. It is alot less expensive. I read in my paperwork last night it is $3000 compared to the $12000. That's a big difference!
I just read your other question about the P injectable.
I just had to laugh.I am the same way! I start my Lupron next week. What stage are you at?

just finished second week of Lupron. Needles are small so it wasn't too bad. My DH gave them to me as I can't watch a needle go in. I go tomorrow for my baseline u/s and bloodwork and then start follistim in the pm. At some point they might add repronex but I guess it depends on how my body reacts to follistim. I never thought I would feel old at 39 (40 next month). It just seems like yesterday that I graduated High School. I always thought that I would have time to have more kids. I have one DD from a previous marriage. Hope you do ok on Lupron. Only side effect I had was a few night sweats. Good luck.
