A friend says her father in law went here for treatment of his prostate cancer and is now cancer free. Its in Mexico- anyone hear of it or know what its about? Its a lifetime payment of $3500 and that will cover all treatments etc. To be quite frank it sounds too good to be true- anyone hear about it?

The history of the Hoxsey treatment is a long and extremely controversial one. If you want a complete history, I strongly recommend "When Healing Becomes a Crime: The Amazing Story of the Hoxsey Cancer Clinics and the Return of Alternative Therapies" by Kenny Ausubel.

Some of their procedures have been admitted by the American Medical Association to work, though not specifically endorsed. The lifetime payment you mentioned is about 10% the cost of a basic surgery, making it financially speaking, not a bad option. The treatment consists of two external remedies (which can cause scarring) and an internal tonic. The internal tonic is, at its absolute worst, worthless. At its absolute best, it has the ability to combat even terminal cancer. The number of people who have bounced back from terminal cancer while using the tonic is too high for a mere coincidence of random luck, implying some potential benefits. It also seems to hold some potential as each of the plants it consists of have been identified to hold anti-cancer properties. Finally, the treatment also recommends a specific diet that most physicians would recognize as extremely health consciences.

Again, I highly recommend Ausubel's book and that you at least remain open minded. I myself am still unsure of what to think of the Hoxsey treatment, and would still recommend that every patient should consult with a conventional physician first. However, it is critical to never be close-minded to treatment options.

Hi. I have read the book: When Healing Becomes A Crime (checked it out from local library); I have watched the dvd and I have conversed with a woman who has a family member that beat cervical cancer using the Hoxsey Treatment. I have also talked over the phone with a man who beat prostate cancer using the Hoxsey Treatment. There are many testimonials ... are they all lying? I am going to find out. I have recently been diagnosed with cancer and am heading over to the Bio-Medical Center in a few days. I am committed and will follow their diet and their treatment to the letter. I am looking forward to this. I have documented proof of my cancer and I will have more documentation including CT scans as I go forward with this.

Anything from the American Cancer Society, FDA, or AMA will be negative, but read the book I stated above to hear Hoxsey's side of the story. Overall, my experiences from actual patients has been positive. Thank you. :-)

Hi. I was there on November 6 for my first time. I am now taking their herbal medications and carefully following their diet. My total cost for the first visit was just over $1000. This varies depending on what tests they do. I was very happy with their service. I will be going back every three months for checkups. I was told the total cost may be around $3500 plus the cost of tests. If you can have x-rays done in the states (using your insurance) you can save some money. The doctors and assistants were all very friendly and helpful. It was unlike any hospital I have ever been to in the United States (in a good way). The key however is, does the treatment work. I cannot say yet first hand.

I called him and talked for about 40 minutes. He has alot of helpful info on his site. I printed it off and brought it with me to the clinic to use as a guide. This man was cured of prostate cancer in 1996. When I was there I heard many other testimonials as well. Again, I am not trying to sell the place because I want first hand results. This is a change in lifestyle. It will take 6 months to a year, maybe longer. The diet is very strict. I am constantly reading and learning as I go along. I am concentrating my diet on cancer fighting foods that also coincide with the Hoxsey diet. There are many books at the library. An excellent book I am reading is Anti-cancer by David Servan-Schreiber. All I can say at this point is continue to do research, call and/or email people, and then make your own decision.

Hello. Yes, I stayed for one night. If the stay is to be longer you have to stay at a hotel in the U.S. (like Best Western in San Ysidro), and go back across the border each day. A friend of my mothers was cured of lung cancer at William Hitt Center, also in Tijuana. She was there everyday for three weeks. It was the same situation. She stayed at a hotel just across the border. It was back and forth everyday for her but she swears by the place. Another place I heard positive things about (just by searching the internet) is Oasis Of Hope in Tijuana. I am certainly not trying to sell any of these places. For me it was Bio-Medical Center. I read a book and watched a video and talked to many people and then I went there. The bottom line is, Mexico can treat patients differently than here in the U.S. The doctors here must abide by their strict rules and conform to the FDA, etc. In this regard they are more free in Mexico. Try this site and call this guy. He was very nice to me and he was cured of prostate cancer.p

He also went to Bio-Med. His name is Daryl. Am I being cured? Don't know yet. I am following instructions and it's been less than two weeks. I am not in pain so fortunately, at least right now, I have the luxury of "wait and see". I am eating lots of green veggies and drinking green tea and doing everything I read about that can slow down the cancer.

Thx.

36,000?? Are you sure we are talking about the same place? Even the William Hitt Center is more expensive than Bio-Med and Willian Hitt runs about 2,800 per week, or just over 11,000 for 4 weeks. You must mean 3,600 not 36,000. I was just there and talked to numerous patients. Nobody was being charged that kind of money.

The caveman,
I have also talked to a doctor at the oasis of hope which was a similar price to the Bio med hospital. But i am telling you that they have told me that it will be thirty six thousand dollars ($36,000). If it was only $3500 i would be there on the next flight. I can only think that they are charging me for food and lodgings, maybe it would be cheaper as a day visitor and travel in from the U.S every day. It was a doctor jose hendrigez i spoke with.( sorry about the spelling)
I really hope it all works out for you and the best of luck.
Thanks

Caveman,

How are you doing at the Bio-Medical Center (Hoxsey Clinic)? I am thinking about going either there or to the Gerson Clinic. Did you check into Gerson?

I hope you are doing okay. (I need to move fast on my ovarian cancer recurrence.)

Can anyone tell me if you are allowed coffee on the Hoxsey diet. I have just returned from a visit and started on the tonic. I have liver cancer and am wondering if I am allowed coffee.

Hi. Sorry, I haven't been on this site for awhile. A lot has happened to me since I began. I am back on the Hoxsey diet as of 8-31-09. I plan on returning to Bio-Med sometime in the next 1-2 months. I have enough of the tonic to last until then. Caffeine is not allowed, so the coffee would have to be decaf at the least. I am not sure even about decaf because I am not drinking coffee. I dring organic green decaf. tea instead. It's an antioxidant, good against cancer. In my opinion, the Hoxsey diet is too lenient and you need to take it beyond what they say, all organic if possible. If you have been to the center at least once, you can call there (at about 9 a.m. their time) before they really begin working is best, and a doctor will answer your questions. I have seen Dr. Gutierrez and Dr. Rodriquez. I was on the diet from around November of last year until February or March of 2009. I got scared and eventually went on to have chemo and radiation on my neck. Yes, I could have stayed on the diet but I did not. In fact, the radiation doctor recommended I eat "just about any food I like", just so I keep my weight up. I will never be the same. Who knows, did they spread my cancer or prolong my life??? I am talking about the conventional docs here, of course. A PET scan following my radiation treatments showed 4 tumors in my lungs and one in my head. Prior to the treatments I only had cancer in my neck. My feelings are as follows: You must get your body strong and able to fight the cancer, as opposed to just killing the cancer while making your body weak. I cannot say for sure if Hoxsey works. I have talked to many who swear by it, in person, via emails and over the telephone. The idea behind alternative treatments are for me. I am currently doing everything in my power to fight this thing without more surgery or radiation. Please email me if you have questions and I will try to respond quickly. Thanks and take care. Leonard :-)
