I've finally started to take a multivitamin...years ago I used to take Centrum on and off, but once or twice it got stuck in my throat so I gave up on that. A few weeks ago, I found one by Nature's Bounty, Multi-Day plus iron. They were a good small size, a bit smaller than an m&m so I decided to try it. I even asked the Pharmacist first and she said it's all minimal amounts so it's probably fine, something is better than nothing, etc.
I've been taking it daily for a few weeks now, and I'm making sure to take in with a meal. So that tends to be at night with dinner, except on the weekends, when I tend to have a more full breakfast than during the week. So my question is, is it possible that taking it at night is messing up my stomach? Because lately in the mornings, on an empty stomach I get this slght queasy feeling out of nowhere. But i'm hungry too, so I eat and try not to think about it and it eventually passes. I know it always says vitamins on an empty stomach can cause this, so that's why I have been taking it with dinner. I am going to stop taking it for a week or two and see if this goes away, then I'll know for sure. I just wanted to get some insight, please.
Also, I find it a little troubling that I can't find this particular vitamin anywhere on the web to research. I only found an article from 2005 about a recall because the cap was not child proof. But when I go to the Nature's Bounty website and search products, I can't find the exact one. The one i see on theri website, the pills look red and mine are orange. Maybe it's just the computer, but it's got me concerned a bit too...could it be my store is selling outdated products???
