Hi,
Just got back from Re's office. Went in this am for u/s and blood work to check estrogen. Went back this afternoon for training on second course of injections. I am doing 4 amps of Follistim and 2 amps or repronex subcu in the stomach. DH did injection and it did not sting at all but did leave a little bruise. Thought we were done and the nurse pulls out the big whopper syringe and tells us we are going to practice the intramuscular injection. Tears start coming down and I look at the door...Nope, no way out. She fills the syringe with water and tells me to drop my pants. Instructs DH how to do it. I look at him and say "I'm ready go ahead" he shoots it in but it bounces off. He does it a second time and it wasn't bad at all (you know how I have been moaning for 2 weeks about this shot). I think with ice, I won't feel it at all. Want to hear the cutest part?...the nurse leaves and my DH has tears welling up in his eyes. He says he feels bad about all the injections I have to take and said he had a hard time pushing that big needle in my butt. He is the best, I love him so much for saying that. I am going to make him a happy man tonight...LOL!
So anyone afraid of that big needle, take it from the biggest baby going- It ain't that bad!!!!!!!
I do feel a little woozy like I did when I took clomid but I think my body will adjust to the meds as the days pass.
