Ivona,
I take my last bcp tomorrow. (I'm taking them to get rid of cysts.) Hopefully, my aunt flo will visit before the weekend it over. We will be close to the same schedule. I'll go to the doc on day 3 to see if my cysts are gone. If they are, I'll be on a clomid/IUI cycle this month.
Keep in touch. Let us know how things are going with you.

Ivona - Sorry about AF, she is definately the most unwelcome guest you could ever have.
I thought we told her to stay away. So sorry. Will you start on Clomid this cycle? I think you have to start it after AF leaves.

My doctor suggested putting me on clomid so we don't loose this cycle. I am doing my FSH test again this Saturday and start clomid the same day. She said that if my FSH comes back high again I will need to see specialist right away and they will probably put me on perganol/preganol (not sure). - Any experience with these two? Can you share
She also said that from my progesterone test she could tell that I ovulated last month probably around day 13th. We BD from day 8 through 12(!!!!), but my progsterone is low. I have no idea what this all means. Please help. Any info/experiences will be appreciated.
Thank ypu so much for your support.

Ivona,
Since I had a hgih FSH also, my RE did a clomid challenge test to see how I did. Unfortunately, my level still stayed high. Also, the clomid really knocked me out. I felt like I was high on drugs and slept all the time. After the results came back that is when he suggested the Lap. The results did show stage 3 endo, septum and a cyst. He still feels that because of the high fsh (which he contributes to age) that Invitro was the way to go and was the best chance of me getting preg. Fortunately, my ins. will cover one cyle. Did the Dr. do a clomid challenge test on you yet??

No challnege test yet. My gyno wants me to take clomid so we don't loose this cycle. She said that if my FSH coems high again I will need to see RE for more aggressive treatment. She said they might put me on perganol - any experience with this?

Ivona,
Just had my first injection of follistim today which is comparable to pergonal. I wrote the whole long story on another thread called follistim update.

tmerone,
Thanks. I read it - very funny. Ooooh, your husband sounds so cute. Good for you.
So I guess that pergonal things is an injection also.
Would you mind sharing - how long have you ttc, your fsh level, progesterone, age, etc.
Just trying to educate myself a little before I go and see RE.
Thank you much - you've been great.

Ivona,
I will start off by saying that I have a dd who will be 13 in Aug. I got preg. with her the first time I tried. I was 26. I am now remarried and turning 40 on Mothers day. We have been ttc for 18 months. I thought I would get preg. right away-not!!my ob/gyn referred me to a RE after my blood work came back. Hypothyroidism, FSH was originally 18 but when I retested it was 11.2. TSH was 6.43. I am not sure of the other levels. My DH sperm is also low volume and not real fast!! I really think my age has alot to do with me not getting preg on my own. I workout, I am slim, I eat healthy, don't smoke, only drink on the weekend and I don't do drugs. I am pretty optimistic about this IVF but then again you never know. Well, that is my sad story- I am only 39 but the RE makes me feel 80!!!! My advice to you before you go to the RE is to go to the library and read every book you can on infertility. It will help make sense of what the dr. is saying.

Thank you for sharing.
I just took my first tablet of clomid - 50mg - but for some reason I am not very optimistic. I've been having such a bad day today - woke up and cried on and off all day. Maybe that's why I see everythibg in such dark clors today.
My DH will be going for sperm analysis. Today I also had a second FSH test - will know results on Monday.
Thank you again, you've been so great.

Ivona,
You are allowed to cry!! This whole process is very hard and even the strongest woman cracks under the pressure. Take it easy today and tomorrow will be better. Eat some comfort food and snug on the couch with DH. It will be ok.
