I have had fuid in my ears for the past two weeks. I cant see a doc until the end of the month. There was previously no ringing but now its constant. Nothing can drown it out. There it is ....EEEEEEEEEEEE above everything I hear. At first it was one ear, now its both. Is this from the fluid? Possibly? Does tinnitus just get worse and worse over time??

This happened to me last January and went on for many months until I found things that worked for me. I tried decongestants, allergy medicines, facial massage and nothing worked. All of this after going to an ENT who couldn't find anything really wrong. I started to take a baby aspirin several times a day, maybe two before bed. Aspirin helps open blood vessels which in turn helped drain the fluid. This helped a great deal. I also did some head exercises which helped things to drain. Look to the right and hold then back to center. Repeat left. Tilt head to the right (shoulder over ear) then hold and back up. Repeat left. Raise arms over head and slowly roll down to the floor so that eyes are looking at your knees. Hold and then slowly roll back up. Repeat all several times and as needed throughout the day.
I know these sound very simplistic, but sometimes the simple works the best. I found that decongestants only made the problem worse and these simple things helped immensely. I occasionally get ringing, but I take the aspirin and do the exercises and it resolves. Also try not to be too upset by it. I know that is very difficult, but the more upset you become the worse it gets. It really sounds to me though that this will eventually go away. My husband has tinnitus due to his time in Vietnam. That is quite a different thing then what you appear to have.
Hope this helps and hope you feel better soon.
