I have fatty liver and my enzimes go up and they go done all the time due to weight loss and weight gain. I suffer from a bad knee and take 1 1/2 vicodin a day do you think that this could be harder on my liver than it needs to be due to the fatty liver?

vicodin has acetaminophen in it which is hard on the liver. they had my hubby on that for a while and finally changed him to oxycodone because it does not have the acetaminophen in it.

Thankyou for replying how hard was it for your husband to get another medication? what kind of effect does that oxycodone have because i still have to work.

it is a battle to get the drs to write any pain meds. my husband kept bleeding and the gastro kept telling me to get him off any kind of tylenol and that's what vicodin has in it but he wouldn't write him a script said the family dr had to do that. i finally convinced our family dr to help him and he wrote it for us. been going to him a long time. they said it's going to be real hard for him to get off them. but at least he has quit drinking and has made it to the transplant list. i have never taken them, but i wouldn't start unless there was a lot of pain. with all his other symptoms i couldn't tell you if he could work on them or not, just know he can't work. good luck tiffany.

I am sorry to here about your husband and i am glad that he is on the transplant list. I think i will just stick to the low dose of vicodin and beleave that my God will heal me. I just some times get a little freaked out. I will keep a close eye on my liver and see what natural things i can do for it.
