Most vitamins can be taken together with no problem. Some multivitamins are formulated to work together.

Vitamins A, D and E are best taken with food. If you take vitamin C, try taking it with an iron supplement, it will help your body absorb the C better.

There are some vitamins that interfear with the absorption of others-- like vitamin E and iron should be taken about 8 hours apart.

Also minerals-- like some type of calcium ( the carbonate type) are acid neutralizers and inhibit absorption of minerals that need acids for absorption.

Natural vitamins, found in various foods, always seem to go together, in my opinion. ;) A new book: "Natural Causes" takes a skeptical view of "self-treating" or "medicating" with herbs and supplements. I just started reading it and, so far, I find it very interesting; it's amazing what most people take for granted when it comes to vitamins.
