Hi All!
I was diagnosed with SVT. I was referred to new EP cardio because my GP and I was not feeling like SVT is under control.
The new EP cardio has taken me off ALL meds and gave me an event monitor so he "can see how bad it really gets".
My question ot you all- I have the chest pain, tachycardia, off and on, several times a day, but the muscle spasms that come with it- like a seizure in my body with the epicenter in my chest are excruciating and last... and last...like you just had a really tough workout and you feel SO exhausted and shaky/trembling internally. Anyone else get this too....
I have borderline low thyroid(from thyroid lobectectomy-waiting to start synthyroid til I get my heart rate under control), negative lyme test, normal cortisol blood, normal mag/calcium levels. Could my low thyroid be causing the tachycardia, muscle spasms?
Please, if anyone has similar symptoms or can be of help... ..

Try taking 500 mg magnesium at bedtime. I had problems with spasms in the chest and this cured me. I also had normal magnesium levels, but the extra magnesium helps with spasms.

Ryoung25,
Thanks for the info. I already take 600 mg. of magnesium daily, broken up doses, last one 200 mg. at bedtime. It does seem to help- when they took me off all supplements for testing the spasms, chest tightness was really bad.
Thanks and good luck to you!!!

Hi,
It seemed to work best for me when I took it all at night (instead of spreading it out). I guess it gets into your body more while you are sleeping. It also seemed to work best when I took it with a calcium suppplement. Calcium is supposed to help with the absorption rate.

At any rate, muscle spasms can be very painful. So I know what you are going through.
