okay, i had a complete hysterectomy 2 years ago. they also took my ovaries. I AM MISERABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! my sex drive is none existant, although i do think about it on a regular basis. thank g-d my husband has been so understanding. i feel like i am constantly on fire within and i am drying up all over like a prune! i can't take hormones as my mom had breast cancer. what are my options??????? someone please offer some ideas.:(

Unfortunately I have no answers for you - but I had to respond since your post is my life story made over. I had a complete hysterectomy in April of 2007 and although I had to have the surgery, I some times wish I would have just held off longer since my life has become a living hell since. I have no doubt that I now know what a potatoe feels like cooking in the microwave - from the inside out. The hot flashes are horrible!! I can't take HRT either. I've tried the OTC stuff, but nothing has helped. I have absolutely no libido - which is different from how I was pre-surgery. I keep asking myself the same question - when does it end??? :mad:
