Hi,

I've had pain in my upper right abdomen for about a year. I have been diagnosed with acid reflux with possible irritable bowel, but treatment is not easing the pain and since the initial onset was so intense that I almost passed out, I've been looking for more answers.

I just was told by my chiropractor that I seem to have broken my 11th rib and it didn't heal (or hasn't healed) properly. Is it possible that my broken rib -- which is the in the same exact area of my pain -- could cause my gastrointestinal problems? Could an improperly placed rib be irritating my internal organs in the vicinity? I tried researching it but wasn't having much luck.

Thanks.

Yes most definetely! I have been seeing my chiropractor because of a rib that has been going out. He told me that this can cause nerve pain and give you symptoms like that.
