Ok, so I had a stress test a couple weeks ago and FINALLY got the results today. I see an Electrophysiologist and a Cardiologist and they are in disagreement with my results. Both have said that looking at the pictures (I had the cardiolite test without the treadmill) that there is reduced blood flow to the left side of the heart in the pictures. The EP is saying he believes its because I am large chested and that my left breast is shadowing the pictures but my Cardiologist (who is also my parents cardiologist who put their stents in) says no he thinks its a blockage and that he thinks he should go in. The EP says that I should have the heart CT scan since thats less invasive and try and rule it out that way to settle their argument. I agree that its probably best to have the CT first before a Cath.

I have had chest pains and PVCs and PACs and possibly Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia as I have episodes if I get up and barely move or just sitting at rest where my heart rate goes up to like 130 for no reason. I stay very tired (all bloodwork is fine) and some days like just taking a shower makes me short of breath and my heart will race soooo bad. These are the same symptoms my mom had with her blockage.

Here is what my report said so I was wondering if anyone can give me a 3rd opinion on this. I do have an appt next week with a new EP who is supposed to be like one of the best on the east coast so I will get his opinion as well.


"Rest/Stress tomographic images demonstrate a very minimally reversable though promarily fixed anterior defect. This is consistent with a prior myocardial infarction in the left anterior descending artery distribution with an extremely small area of peri-infarct ischemia. No other defects are noted.

Gated images demonstrate preserved left ventricular systolic function with an estimated ejection fraction of 64%. The mid-anterior wall apprears moderately hypokinetic.

Conclusions:
1. Subjectively questionable and objectively negative Adenosine infusion.
2. Mostly fixed anterior defect consistent with prior myocardial infarction with an extremely small area of reversability, as described above.
3. Preserved left ventricular function (EF=64%), with moderate mid-anterior hypokinesis."


To me this sounds like it says that I have had a previous heart attack? I am only 25 yrs old but like I said I have a family histpry of blockages and heart problems. This is all very scary and they have been trying to figure out all this with the palpitations and racing heart since May and I seem to be getting nowhere...Anyone have an opinion?
