what's the best way to taper off ppis i was on prilosec 40 for 1 week and then 20 mg for 4 weeks now i want ot taper off so should i take 10 mgs for awhile and supplement with pepcid or zantac

Hi,
I was taking 20mg and then cut back to 10mg for a 2 or 3 weeks and then just stopped.
I now take Pepcid AC as needed.

P.S. I have a hiatal hernia and I find that Pepto Bismol helps too.
