Go to the websites I have listed below: I believe you will find your answer(s) or have a better understanding on fatty liver and cholesterol linked to it.

As of Sept. 2008 -- I was diagnosed with a fatty liver -- I am considering in doing a colon/liver detox. In July '08, I was diagnosed with high cholesterol and underactive thyroid. Due to the thyroid, doc said it was not necessary to treat the cholesterol with medication. He had mentioned that the thyroid triggered cholesterol or vice versa, and once the thyroid goes back to normal and with a healthy diet and exercise the cholesterol will get back to normal. (I am slowly changing my diet and due to the chronic fatigue that I have I don't always have the energy to exercise). A fatty liver causes fatigue. My thyroid is back to normal, I still have high cholesterol.

I underwent more blood tests in September '08 and blood tests revealed fatty liver. Per what I have read the high cholesterol could be due to the fatty liver or vice versa.

P.S. I had breast cancer in 2006. I underwent chemo and radiation 2006-2007I am currently cancer-free. Praise the Lord!!!

www.puristat.com (click to fatty liver, liver cleansing/detox) According to this website, puristat recommends that before a liver detox, a colon detox must be done first, and it is thoroughly explained why this is necessary.

Also visit this website of Dr. Sandra Cabot, doctor in Australia, an expert on fatty liver. www.liverdoctor.com

I hope this helps -- keep me posted. No one answered the question I posted -- so I had to be my own advocate to seek answers to my own question.
