The pounding I hear in my head at night or early in the morning, is this called palpitation? And is this a serious thing? In June I had a small stroke....I also get light headed when I stand up quickly...

Golf,

This is something I wouldn't fool around with if I were you. I have survived 4 strokes myself, and they were preceded by severe headaches. The most common time of day for strokes to occur is in the middle of the night.

Do you have high blood pressure? Are you under a doctors care? I would certainly alert my doctor, especially if you just had a stroke in the last few months. The tiny blood vessels in the brain and eyes are the first to fail under pressure, or blockage. That's why the headaches shouldnt be overlooked, especially following a stroke.

I wish you the best. Please check your blood pressure, and call your doctor. He/she can best advise you, but we are here to support you!
