Hi
Off to see the doc on wednesday. Am sure I am peri but haven't bothered to have it confirmed. Just recently though amongst all the usual symptoms I feel like someone has pulled the plug on me. I am totally drained of energy. Should I have a blood test to confirm what seems fairly obvious or are the symptoms alone enough to make a diagnosis?
Ta:)

Did you just start this year the peri-menopause?
How often are your periods spaced apart?
If you're talking about the FSH test, you don't need that. It doesn't usually show up till you're basically almost in menopause. Also the FSH is for women who want to go on hormone treatment. If you don't want to do that, then there's no sense in getting the test done. One day it may show up that you're going through peri-menopause and the next time may not show anything. I just talked with my doc about this when I went in for my yearly a couple weeks ago.
