View Full Version : 2 embies transferred - 7 frozen

Hello ladies - I've been a bit reluctant to post today, seeing as everyone seems to be quite stressed at the moment. I'm wishing you ALL the best. I'm sure that our dreams WILL come true. It will take some of us longer than others, but as long as we have hope, faith and each other, we'll get there in the end!

I had 2 embies put back today and 7 frozen. All of them were "very good quality" according to the embryologist. And now we have a picture of our 4 four-cell embryos. Can't say I can see any family resemblance yet! The progesterone shot hurt like mad! I'm hobbling around now! I have lovely progesterone suppositories for the next 2 weeks - nice!

As you know, I'm not very good at lying around still, so, with the embryologist's blessing, we went out for for a lovely lunch: me, DH and the 2 embies. I reckon we have to get them used to our out'n'about lifestyle early on!

It's so hard not thinking of them as babies and not getting sentimental. I know the stats for embies lasting 2 weeks is not great, and I know the stats for miscarriage during first pregnancy are also not great. But I'm hoping despite myself. DH reminds me that least we have another 7 frozen embies in case anything goes wrong.

What are you ladies up to this weekend? Monday is a
public holiday in the UK, so DH and I have a long, lazy weekend in front of us.

Hugs to everyone. I'm wishing you all well.

I am just now starting IUI. I have unexplained infertility. I just want you to know that we are pulling for you. I wonder if I will have to do IVF. I hope it doesn't take real long . . . I bet this is it for you. So now you just wait for 2 weeks?

I'm so glad you posted, I've been waiting all day to hear from you!

I'm chuffed to bits that everything's gone so well - I'll keep fingers, toes and every else crossed for you!

Like you, I'm looking forward to a nice, lazy bank holiday weekend. Looks like us gals in the South East might strike it lucky with the weather. Am going to go on a shopping spree tomorrow to cheer myself up before starting the IVF meds (nasal spray) on Sunday. I'll have to set my alarm nice and early, which is a bummer - still, all in the name of a very good cause, hopefully!

Take good care of yourself and let us know how you get on.

Hugs
