Hello - I'm 43 and just decided (last tick of the clock, I know) to ttc. Saw a new gyno this week. All ready to say to her that I know how grim my chances are blah blah blah, but I didn't even have to. She was pretty upbeat and generally talked to me like it wasn't out of the realm of possibility. Loved my temp chart with its ovulation spike ("textbook" she said). Checked me over. Asked if I'd like to try "a little Clomid" (I'm going to visit my out-of-town boyfriend next week to ttc). I said Sure. Then she said It may not make a difference if I'm actually ovulating naturally. I said, Doesn't it dry you up? Yep. Hmm. So now I don't know if I should go for the Clomid or not. Going for an FSH text Weds (if AF comes Tues), so maybe I'll see what that looks like.

Just thinking out loud. Do you think I should go for the Clomid since she's offering??

I would. I did the clomid challenge test and did not do well but that is me. Every little thing helps when you are over 35! Try it and then if your blood comes back abnormal you can discuss further options. At least you can try on your own with a little help. Good luck. Don't forget your robitussin!!

I say go for it! Can't hurt, might help.
It's good to add all the pluses you can to get BFP!
