For those of you who do not know me, my name is Amy and from June 2002 until Feb 2002 I underwent all sorts of different fertility meds and at the end of february after trying our first IUI and haivng a big dissappointment when I got a neg DH and I decided to take a break from all of it. I was physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted. In the two months since I went off, I have been on a diabetic diet to help with the PCOS and was able to lose 23 lbs. Here is the kicker.....the other day I was at a friends helping her with some horses and she asked if I wanted a beer - I thought "what the hell" it was hot out and we had been working hard and a beer sounded good. Well it wasn't - I had to gag it down and by the time I got home I was green and had to run to the bathroom to puke - well that was my first sign of pg with my daughter... I couldn't stand the smell or taste of beer....Anyway, I realized that I was about 3 days late for the ol' AF so I bought a pg test and got a very faint pink line.....do you think it could really be a positive? I am going to retake in a couple more days but I can hardly wait and I don't want to get my hopes up, just to be disappointed...what a tale though if I was - 9 mos. of fertility treatments and nothing and then I go off, relax, and get pg...

Sounds like a BFP to me!! try doing another tomorrow morning because more of the pregnancy hormone will be in your urine!! Good luck and let us know how you make out!

Sounds like BFP to me too!!!!! I agree with Tmerone, try agian tomorrow. If you are, your hcg is increasing rapidly, and one day could make a big diff.

I actually took the test last night and I was going to wait a week. Of course I will get on here right away. I am trying not to let myself get too excited - but I keep thinking well why else would there be a faint line if I wasn't pg? I have taken hundreds of HPT's over the past few years of trying and I know what a definite negative looks like! I just think would be so awesome to have conceived naturally. DH and I weren't even thinking about getting pg and just did what we love to do http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif although I still counted days and tried to BD during day 12 - 16 at least every other day!

JodyC, how is your pregnancy going? I read your post about the 177 Heart beat - that is so awesome.

Here is the other really cool part if I do get a BFP (other than all teh other cool things of course) - a couple that DH and I are really good friends with just found out they are pg after a miscarriage 7.5 years ago and 7 years of trying. I think it would be awesome to pg at the same time since both of us have wanted this for so long.

Tazink.....it was nice to see your post again after a long time.Whow!!!You lost 23pounds!!!!Can you share the secret of your weight loss with us?I mean what type of diebetic diet were u taking?We r praying for your BFP.

r-bis - The diabetic diet is a "no sugar" or "low-sugar" diet. The biggest thing was that I cut out all pop and really watched what I ate. I bet the first 5 lbs was water that I had been retaining from all the fertility meds and then to help curb my appetite the doc gave me a prescription of fertinex. I think I called one of my fertility drugs fertinex early which was incorrect. THe fertinex is an appetite suppressant. I also think that not stressing over things helped too.

I've always heard that it's very rare to get a false positive so if you have a line (even a light one) the odds are in your favor that you are pregnant! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a BFP!!!! :-)

Thank you everyone for your positive posts. I was going to wait a couple days before testing again, but you know how it is, the anticipation will KILL ME! I am testing in the morning and after DH you girls will be the first too know. I just feel giuilty if I am and all you aren't - don't ask why - I am just that way..... If I could, I would give everyone that really wanted one a baby.

I don't think I will sleep at all tonight - did I tell all of you that last night I dreamt that I took two tests, both were BFP's - hopefully that is a good sign.

Isnt that wild.. Didnt u say u were taking time off from all the fertility meds..etc.. I hear a lot of success stories when people come off fertility drugs etc..and end up conceiving..

Well unfortunately I can't say "no news is good news". Today it was a BFN. AF still isn't here so I think I will test again at the end of the week. I was pretty sad not to see another line this morning. I was really hoping it was my time.

May be there is a little hope though that I could still be pg. I just don't understand why I would get a faint line on one and then a day and a half later, nothing....WIERD.

Well I will talk to all of you later, I just made breakfast for the family and now I have to clean up before DH and I go see X-men II today.
