View Full Version : How much exercise during the 2ww?

Normally, I love going to the gym and doing a really hard workout - (sweaty, breathless, lots of weight training etc.) But is it still safe during the 2ww? Should I try swimming instead?

I feel all fat and puffy and want a good ole workout. Also, working out is my way of relaxing after a stressful day - and the 2ww is more stressful than anything that will happen at work.

What do you think, ladies? Should I cut out the gym and stick to swimming? As you know, I will do stupid things, unless you advise me otherwise!

Hugs to all of you.

Hi LC! This was a question that I had during my cycle last time and they told me to take it easy - and I only had the IUI w/injectables, not nearly close to what you've had. So I would stick to swimming! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif I feel like a puffy lazy thing because I've cut out my weights w/cardio and I'm just sticking to yoga strength stuff -but its not as rigorous as my usual. Swimming is great for you- lots of resistance in that water!

How are you feeling? http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif When is the big test day?!

I agree with momma. Don't do a hard work out. This way you know no matter what you did everything you possibly could. Take it easy and spoil yourself. Besides, if everything goes as planned your gonna be puffy for the next nine months.

Hi,

I was a running 4 miles - 5 x's a day and stopped ALL exercise completely when I started injections. I laid around the house -- I felt lazy but I knew it was for the better. I treated myself to a weekly manicure. Boundi is right - if everything goes right you will be PUFFY for the next 9 months. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/love2.gif

London.
I'm not a big exercise person in general which is very unhealthy for me I should do more . For the last year I have been going to 1-2 yoga classes per week on the average . Used to due Bikram or hot yoga but RE and accupuncturist said to stick with regular yoga . I was doing IUI with injectables .
If you are doing IVF and are on the TWW I would definltly check with your DR before working out .
Good Luck !!!!!!!!
P.S. read an earlier post of yours you + DH sound like a lot of fun
