Hi everyone!
I'm usually over on the pregnancy board, the TTC Buddies thread, but I also come here, as many of you are going through similar experiences to mine.
I have a question: My RE prescribed progesterone pills from CD 16-26. My cycle is always 28-30 days long. Well, I read on a board somewhere that if you're pregnant and stop taking the prog pilLs, then you'll miscarry!
Now I'll be too scared to stop the progesterone. My friend told me that if I carry on taking the pills, then AF won't arrive, whether I'm PG or not! This could all be solved by taking a test around CD26, right, but what if I'm PG and it doesn't show up yet? Would I lose the baby?
So, what do I do, trust the hpt to give me an accurate answer on CD26, stop the pills or what? http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dizzy.gif
Thanks! (I'm on my first round of Clomid, BTW)

Nela,
I would follow you doc's advice. If there was sufficient risk of m/c, you doc probably wouldn't have prescribed it.
CD26 might be a little bit early for a pregnancy test. I think the best advice is to call you doc and ask. I'm sorry I can't be more specific. I've never taken progesterone after clomid.
Mindy
Thanks Mindoo!
I also think it's too early to take a hpt on CD26, but I've been talking to a friend who said she got AF even though she was taking progesterone. On the info leaflet it says that delayed AF could be one of the side effects. I don't know what to think, but I have an appt. with the doc at the end of the month, so I'll be sure to mention it then. I'll follow the doc's advice, anyway.
And how are you doing on the Clomid, BTW? Tomorrow night will be my last pill(s), and then waiting for O. I'm hoping it works! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

Nela,
Clomid produced 3 large follies that could produce an egg, and 10-15 small follies taht are too small to release an egg. I had an IUI on CD 17. Today is CD 21 - so I have about 10 more days to go before I call for my beta test. I have a huge work load right and appointments 4/5 nights this week. Plus tomorrow at 12:00, my little sister finds out when they are going to induce her. She's 38 weeks pg and suffereing from hypertension. I will rearrange my appts. and I'll go be with her for that. So, this week will be extremely busy, and I have not been preoccupied with the "Am I pg or not?" question --- yet. lol
Good Luck with your clomid. Are you going for an u/s, blood test, or self-monitor?
Mindy
Thanks for the good wishes, mindy!
I'm not going for any U/S because we're doing this "naturally", meaning good old fashioned BDing. My doctor hasn't mentioned anything like that to me...maybe it's because she knows I already ovulate on my own? I have to go back at the end of this month, we'll see what she says then.
You sound so busy! Congrats on the 3 strong follicles! Keeping busy with other things is the best way to not think about every little ache and pain. You're going to be very busy helping your sister.
I'm hoping one of us gets that egg this month! BTW, do you have any Clomid symptoms?
Good luck!

At the most I've ever had is some ovarian sensations. They produce just enough feeling to let me know something is going on, but it's not painful. This month I've had less than that. My ovaries have been relativey quiet.
I consider myself lucky. Clomid causes some women to have hot flashes, exhaustion, or nausea.
Good Luck and baby dust to you!
Mindy
Thanks Mindy! I'll be sure to check the board and see how you're doing! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif Babydust*****
