Hey, i started taking a 2 a day multi vitamin about month ago but stopped because i was curious about something. I am not taking the multi vitamin because i am sick or feel bad, i just wanted to take it to perhaps get a more vitamins i might be lacking in my diet, and for more energy.

I started thinking about it, and is it possible, when you take vitamins, to get used to them? Sort of get immune to the dosage of the vitamins you are taking, and will need to take more after a couple years to get your necessary amount? You know how germs get used to antibacterial soap, kinda like that. Even though your body is not a germ, and it uses these vitamins and minerals. I wouldnt think your body would get used to them, because it nurishes the body, and doesnt use, or rejects what it doesnt need or what is too much, right?

Any answers are appreciated, thanks.

I don't think the body can become immune to minerals and vitamins anymore than it could become immune to food.

Multivitamins are just to "top off" our daily food intake, much of the vitamin is wasted. In fact, most of the multivitamins we take end up as very expensive urine. ;)
