From the various posts I've read, it seems obesity is not a problem. This really concerns me.

I come form the North West of England and like anywhere in a developed country, at this point in time, obesity is a widespread health problem. What seems to be the difference however is the fact that the majority of individuals in this region who are obese are concerned for their own health!

From what I've read quite a lot of clinically obese people don't even care! In fact they are proud that they are more likely to get heart disease, diabetes, cancer, arthritis and suffer from a premature death! Please help I don't understand!??

How can obesity be 'cool!?'

Obesity is a serious problem. It is linked with high blood pressure, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. It is a major problem in developed countries.
