I had Otosclerosis. An ENT Dr. did a Stapendectomy 4 yrs ago & the results are terrible. I have ringing, vertigo and my hearing is getting worse. Does anybody know of a great Dr in the NY or NJ area.

I was diagnosed with otosclerosis about 3 years ago. 3 mths ago I made an appt to see an otologist, Dr. Sujana S Chandrasekhar. She scheduled a stapedectomy which I had last Thurs, 9/17. I have not had my post op appt yet but I highly recommend this doctor. She is excellent and knows alot about this procedure since the ear is the only part of the body that she operates on. I was very comfortable with her and I feel highly confident that my hearing will get better.

I have not had my post op appt yet but I highly recommend this doctor. She is excellent and knows alot about this procedure since the ear is the only part of the body that she operates on. I was very comfortable with her and I feel highly confident that my hearing will get better.

I am also in NJ and looking for a dr to perform a stapedectomy. Who did your first surgery? I would like to make sure this is not a dr. I go with. Please let us know if you did find a better dr.

YES!!!!! Dr. Spiros Manolidis is great!!! I had the procedure done by him a month ago and i was just saying that getting my eyebrows done is much more painful than any part of surgery or recovery. He is an amazing surgeon!! Phillips Amubulatory Care in Union Square is where you will find him. Let me know what you think :)

Yes Dr. Sujana Chandrasekhar is great, she is one of the top doctors.
