I had a head injury 2 years ago and started having severe headaches and after 2 weeks started taking seizures. But I have had numerous eegs that have come back with abnormalities in the left temporal lobe and they said it was sudoseizures now a year later after they became alot worse they send me to an epileptic clinic and they think abdominal seizures how can I get the right diagnosis?

What exactly are you questioning regarding your diagnosis? If you feel that the diagnosis is incorrect, then I would suggest seeing another epileptologist at another clinic.

I have been dealing with these problems for so long and it just seems like I am never going to get the right diagnosis! I have never heard of abdominal seizures before this can they come from a head injury? I lost my job,my drivers license and Ihave been to 2 different neurologists now they send me to a clinic how long does it take to get the right diagnosis ?

Hi Bella - yes, a brain injury can cause seizures that might have abdominal effects and would be called abdominal seizures. Prior to your abdominal effects, you might have the same type of auras that precede "regular" seizures. (I never thought I'd be referring to seizures as "regular"!)

If you've been to two neurologists and have had EEG's done, and a GI doc has also been involved, then perhaps the diagnosis is a valid one.
