What kind of meds has everyone been on? And what was the outcome (follies)? Is there any one injectible that has better success rates over others? My RE office says pick which ever you like. . . cost is the only factor. I seem to have a problem responding to the 2 cycles of repronex I had. Any info would be greatly appreciated! I've been on Gonal F and I've been on Repronex.Gonal F is more expensive, but I don't really remember some really good sized follies with it. Repronex has worked well for me - producing a good mature follie, but my RE has not been very aggressive with my tx. Like Holleigh, I take chlomid for the 5 days. I take my Repronex after that, 1 am a night every other night for 3 days and then depending on size, they increase meds. I think it really has to do with the RE- how aggressive he wants your tx to be. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

I think everyone is different, and some respond better to certain drugs than others. I have PCOS, DH has low count and motility, but we conceived on our first Gonal-F/IUI cycle. I responded well to the Gonal-F, which is an FSH-only drug and therefore preferred for women with PCOS. Unfortunately I lost the baby at 9 weeks, but we plan on trying Gonal-F again b/c i responded well to it. If you have had 2 poor cycles with Repronex, I would look at trying an FSH-only regimen with Follistim or Gonal-F. Good luck.

I was on gonal-f for one cycle. I had 3 "big" follies (I know one was over 20 and the other two were like 19) and tons of little ones with that. I ended up taking 2 amps per day, and did 10 doses before the HCG shot. I'm fairly sensitive to meds though, so you'll want to take that into consideration. I was told that there was a 25% chance of multiples with the protocol I was on.....

In Feb I tried only Clomid and produced 1 small follicle; In Mar I tried Clomid days 3-7 and Bravelle days 8-13 I produced numerous follicles but at Day 18 the largest was only 14; In Apr I was on bcp for cysts; Now I am at day 9 and this cycle I have had 150amps (2 vials)of Bravelle a day for days 3-?, yesterdays u/s showed over 20 follicles: 12 of wich were between 4 and 8, and a few at 10; I have another u/s tomorrow. The Bravelle is about $50 a vial. I use a small needle 30g 1/2inch and the injection is in my stomach. I hope this helps: Good Luck!
