Well, my lap went well. After never having any symptoms it turns out that I do have endometriosis. I am not sure what stage or anything. Most of the tissue that was removed was on the outside of my uterus. My RE said there was definitely enough there to be a contributing factor for our infertility. He was able to clean it all out. It is nice to finally have a posssible answer to our "why? why? why?". We will meet with my RE next Thursday to go over the pictures and review our plan.
I think that we will have to skip trying this month, because I will probably ovulate Sunday/Monday and we aren't supposed to BD for one week after the surgery. I really didn't want to wait because my DH will be out of the country during June so we will miss another month. Maybe I will ovulate later than I think...
I was so excited to get on this morning to see Sunny's BFP and that Momma has had some nausea!! This is great encouraging news!

Hi Becca!! I'm so happy that you got an answer to your questions! It makes you feel better knowing a reason why, doesn't it? Do you know why it is a factor if the endo is not in your uterus?
I was so incredibly relieved after my lap when I woke up and the dr said, "Well, you're not crazy - you have a ton of endo!" I had over 100 implants that he removed.
My new RE doesn't think its my endo that is causing my infertility, but rather my PCOS - I'm lacking that little signal from my brain to my ovary to release my eggs. Hopefully he's right and my endo has nothing to do with it.
Well you rest up! Make sure you lift up those arms to move those gas bubbles outta there! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif
Hope your recovery is a quick one.

Hey Momma,
Thanks so much for repyling so quickly to everyone's messages. You are such an incredible support. I do not quite understand why the endo may be a factor, but hopefully after I meet with my RE it will make more sense. I have been tyring to research endo and its coorelation to infertility and have found some info. This is some that I found:
"How does endometriosis cause infertility? The relationship between mild (early) endometriosis and infertility is controversial. The most recent theories regarding the endometriosis-infertility link focus on the fact that endometriosis may lead to a form of mild inflammation within the pelvis. In some women with mild endometriosis, the levels of certain chemicals called cytokines ( released in response to inflammation) are increased in the abdominal cavity, and these hormones may have a negative effect on follicle and egg development, egg-sperm binding and fertilization, normal tubal function, and even implantation. Sometimes, the endometriosis may be coincidental and unrelated to the fertility problem. In these patients, other factors may be involved in a couple's infertility, such as poor quality sperm or ovulation disorders- and the endometriosis is a "red herring". Some women who have the condition are able to conceive, while others may be infertile due to endometriosis or a combination of factors."
We have not had any other facors. I have ovulated every month and my husband has excellent sperm quality. I would really love this treatment to allow us to conceive on our own, but if not we are not opposed to going through injectibles.
Thanks Momma!

Becca,
I also had no symptoms of Endo and they found alot of it. I think in my case it had caused scarring and my one tube was stuck to my ovary causing a kink in the tube. I am glad that you got your endo all cleaned up and remember that the lap may have cleaned out the cobwebs and many people get preg the same month or the month after. How are you feeling? a little sore?? Glad everything went ok and your mind is at ease. My DH just about fell on the floor when the RE said "no sex for 2 weeks" I of course had a big smile on my face!! Good luck!!
