Hi all just started to have migraines again after 10 years without them - well ten yrs without needing meds cos i only had the one off, but every day since monday i have been having zigzag lines in vision where they get bigger then i have to hide in the dark or go bed, my vision is poor and when that finally goes i get a really bad head for hours.

I have read in the past that you should report new migraines to your dr is this right or should i just put up with them ? I have been having a really bad period too - much heavier than normal - perhaps its not connected but both started at the same time.

I started a new antidepressant but that was 3 wks ago so im not sure they are causing the migraines, what do people suggest ?

thanks dippy xxx

Yup, menstrual migraines can be triggered, or aggravated, by hormonal changes. There is a new treatment available for MM, I can't remember the name of it right now, darn!

Definitely see your doctor, your symptoms aren't the kind you can safely ignore.

Thank you for your advise leela, dr has put me on some hormone pills to control the period cos it has been so bad, i forgot to mention migraines when i went this week, but then i wasnt having them everyday then, i best get them checked when i next go.
