I'm 21 years old, and I'm dating a man who is 53 (I know, big age difference). We're not really serious yet, but we are headed there. I'm curious as to how a man's fertility lowers with age - if it is similar to the women's rate. I've done a couple searches, but there's not much out there. I'm wondering because I've been taking birth control (Estrostep FE) for about six months, but I hate the side effects, so I decided to go off it. We haven't gone further than oral sex yet. If we do, I want to use protection. Because of his age, does this really lower the chance of me getting pregnant? I've heard stories of women trying to get pregnant and can't, but usually the couple is older. I'm also thinking about it because if we stay together and want to have kids, it could be a problem. If anybody has any knowledge on this topic, please let me know. Thanks!
