If you have type 2 on the genitals, then no the person cannot get it from a kiss. If he has sex or oral sex with you, then yes, he can possibly get herpes from you.

From what I have been told from a doctor is that it was contracted from sex and can travel to the vagina if it wants or that you can touch the sore and then touch you genitalia and spread it there. I believe that if you have an outbreak on your leg and touch it then touch your partner's penis then you can spread it. The possibility of it traveling to your vagina and then having an outbreak can def. spread it. Maybe it will always break out on your leg if you are lucky. No one knows when and where the virus will travel. It does what it wants and that is why there is no cure. It is also very contagious. It has a mind of it's own

not from your leg, but if he has oral sex on you and you have an outbreak in the vagina area, then he can get it on the face and mouth. If he touches your sores on your leg, then he can spread it to his eyes or penis is what I have been told.

WRONG. Even if you don't have any obvious outbreak the virus can be spread via "asymptomatic shedding". That means - no symptoms but virus is active and can be spread to partners. Years ago it was thought that if you avoided sex when you had an obvious outbreak you could not pass it on. We now know through research (have you seen a Valtrex commercial? They speak of it there.) that "AShedding" occurs at various times during the month/days/years. AND there is no easy way to determine if the virus is shedding or not. Unless you have a home lab that is.
Once you have the virus (talking genital here) it sits in the nerves at the base of the spine. Those nerves serve a wide area. When the virus becomes active it travels up the nerves to the skin. So just because you don't have any obvious outbreak on your genitals, the virus can still be active ANYWHERE IN THE BOXER SHORTS AREA.
