Hello. So, quick question. I contracted herpes about a year and 1/2 ago... my boyfriend and I have been having sex and he has no symptoms thus far, yet we have been having unprotected sex. He went down on me because he figured he had already contracted it due to having unprotected sex. I was not having a breakout during the time we had oral sex. What are the chances of him contracting oral herpes? And can he contract oral herpes if he had already contracted genital herpes?

If you have genital type 2 it rarely goes to the mouth so don't worry about it. Most doctors never saw it and if you try to look up oral type 2 you won't find much because it so rarely happens.

Also your boyfriend may be one of the people who has the virus with no symptoms. If he does have it, he cannot get it again.
