You cannot get HPV from cervical cancer. Cervical cancer is caused by HPV.
HPV is easily transmittable. It only takes skin to skin contact, not body fluids. If someone has HPV and has sexual contact with someone else, it is highly likely that HPV has been passed along. Sexual contact does not have to be sexual intercourse; various sexual activities can transmit HPV, too.
