Okay, so here's my situation..
I was diagnosed with HPV about a week ago. My Dr didn't mention anything about high risk, and im assuming she would if i was high risk..
BUT, my problem is.. I've been dating my boyfriend for about 8 months now, and im trying to figure out how to tell him.. i AM going to tell him, but i just need help figuring out how to tell him.. He was a virgin before me, and im worried he's going to be angry with me, even though it really isn't my fault? because i've only had 2 other partners and we had used protection everytime..
But i have just started birth control and were just getting to the point where its okay to not use condoms.. can it make us worse if we dont use a condom?
What other advice do you have for someone in my situation?
And im only 18 and this has really been taking a toll on me.. im in my first semester of college, so with the pressure of getting good grades, and NOW this?! i've just been really down and upset.. please help me!

I CLEARLY remember the day I was told I had high risk HPV. I CLEARLY remember trying to figure out how I was going to tell my doctor. I knew almost nothing about the virus and figured he didn't know much either. It ends up he knew more than I did. Anyway, it was NOT an easy conversation. I can say that because of our love we were able to get past the diagnosis and focus on me being healthy and to focus on our relationship.
I strongly suggest you call back to the doctor and ask what type of HPV you were diagnosed with: high risk or low risk. There is no treatment for high risk, but there are various treatments for low risk HPV (warts).
